A single parent running a daycare, do you think its possible?

Do you think its possible for a single parent to run a daycare. It would be their only income and what they have to depend on to get by. Do you also think its possible to hire help to run the daycare, pay those employees and still have enough money to live on? Thanks in advance.A single parent running a daycare, do you think its possible?
Yes, lots of people have successful day cares....you need to have a good business plan to make it successful...A single parent running a daycare, do you think its possible?
Yes, yes, yes, and yes. But it depends on where you live. I'm in Canada, and we have strict rules regarding daycare, there needs to be one adult for every X kids (I believe the number was 6).

I know there are rules like this in the US, but even for them, they require private homes who wish to open a daycare, to get a license. It may differ from state to state.

A good friend of mine runs a daycare from her home, she has 22 customers, and hires 2-3 people to help care for them. I know business is going well because she paid off her mortgage, and has been on vacation a few times too.

So it really depends on the city/state/country you live in, and its rules regarding daycare. Then the rest is upto you.
You're not giving us enough information, where is this located (what state /county) How much will you be charging per week per child, what services will and won't you be offering?

what kind of degree and training do you have? How many extra staff will you hire.

Sit down, do the math, do the taxes and if you want to be conservative count on potential losses (parents withdrawing children mid week/year/period without notice), add in legal fees for start up and any expenses you will incur.

We cant really do it for you %26gt;.%26lt;
I personally know someone who has done it. It would be a lot of work and you would have to do your research and be very business-savy, but it is possible. It really takes a lot of hard work (and I mean a LOT) but is doable. You will have to get into the specifics, figure out the cost and profit of it (not to mention the time you'd have to put in) before moving forward, though

-and state regulations on safety-requirements of the house as well as child- to- caretaker ratios
Well its possible I know that , a friend of mine has a mom who has a daycare but m not sure if thats whats you could depend on...

sorry if i didnt answer this the way you wanted!
With God all things are possibles.. I just say be the best you can with what you can offer... and may your dreams come true !!
