Is a parent required to stay home for homeschooling in NJ?

I live in New Jersey and my mom wants to know if its legal in NJ for a parent to be at work while their child is home for homeschooling. Is a parent required to stay home for homeschooling in NJ?
According to the NJ Homeschool Statute, the only requirement is the child receive instruction in public or private or ';equivalent instruction elsewhere than at school'; It is your mom's responsibility to direct your education. However if you are old enough, mature enough, and responsible enough to carry out that directed education independently while your mom is at work, and you are legally old enough to stay home alone (12+ years) than, yes you can be homeschooled even if your parents work. Any individualized help you may need, your mom can do after work hours or on the weekend. Although I am a stay a home mom, my oldest son has not worked directly with me since 5th grade. He's now a Senior. I schedule his assignments, he does them, I grade the work and watch that he is on target. The rest is up to him. If he has a problem he comes to me and we work on that problem together. Then he's on his own again. He prefers working independently, say he can finish much quicker on his own. And that's okay with me.

NOTE: Although school notification is not mandatory, if you are already in the public school system and your mom is withdrawing you to homeschool she will need to submit a letter of intent. Simply state include your name, address, phone number, date of birth, age, grade and her intent to withdraw you from school to homeschool in accordance with NJ Statute Ann. 18A:38-25. This notification only serves to protect your family from truancy charges. Best wishes. Take a look at our laws in NJ.Is a parent required to stay home for homeschooling in NJ?
If the child is legally old enough to stay home alone (usually 12+), then yes, this is legal. It doesn't matter what time of day you do your schooling so you could do it with your mom when she gets home or you could work independently while she's at work.
