Why would a parent say their son has autism after pulling a fire alarm in a fire?

In a fire when they were outside why would a parent say to those around their son pulling the fire alarm that he has Autism? Is it to praise their son for pulling the fire alarm in an emergency or is it to explain why the parent is helping their son.Why would a parent say their son has autism after pulling a fire alarm in a fire?
I'm autistic and I don't go around pulling fire alarmsWhy would a parent say their son has autism after pulling a fire alarm in a fire?
I don't think it matters. If the child has autism then the parent will know how to deal with it, at home or in private so as to not create a bigger scene then was going on already. The parent may have been mentioning it to those around only to try to diffuse the situation. No doubt some people were pi$$ed over what had happened and there was no point in letting things get more out of hand.

Either way, I don't think it really matters.
umm who cares? maybe she was just proud that her son possible saved lives? children with autism sometimes have trouble connecting actions and consequences..good or bad so she may have been bragging a bit..good for her
Why does it matter? He pulled the alarm because of a fire. Who cares why their parent is saying it. They wouldn't be saying it if it wasn't true.
He would not say his son HAD AUTISM, he would say his son WAS AUTISTIC.

I believe he was simply proud of his autistic son doing the right thing and possibly saving a few people's lives.
If their son pulled the alarm they may be trying to explain why he pulled it.
does it matter?
