Should I still send thank you cards for parent sent graduation announcements?

I assume that I should since I am receiving a gift, but I do not know the formal way to do so since I did not send them out, and did not expect anything.





And if they simply send a 'Congrats Grad' card, should I also send a thank you?Should I still send thank you cards for parent sent graduation announcements?
If you get a gift, send a thank you. If you just get a card, don't.





A thank you card shouldn't have anything to do with if you asked for the gift. If someone did something nice for you, you should thank them.
