Does a parent have to go with you for an R rated movie?

Because me and my friend want to watch The Ugly Truth, so we wanted to know if my mom could just buy the tickets for us without having to come in. Is that possible?Does a parent have to go with you for an R rated movie?
u just need anyone 17 or older to buy u it.im lucky cuz where i live in ny they don't check for id.just buy and watchDoes a parent have to go with you for an R rated movie?
As long as you don't do it obviously, and nobody ID's in the actual theater (not likely) then you're fine. I use to do it all the time when I was underage.
depends on how strict the theater is and if they will check id's as you're going into the theater, it's not likely, but not unheard of.
you can buy them online or your mom can just buy them but she doesnt have to come inside. :)
Depends on the person selling tickets. Some don't even ask to see ID. But apparently the rule is that your parent or guardian actually has to watch the movie with you.
matters if your mom says that u have permission to the guy you probably can or bring someone 18 or older.
maybe but i think someone will be asking for ID if you don't look old enough ..
depends on where you go.
If you are under the age of 17, then yes you have to have a parent to go with you to buy the tickets and they also have to set in the theater with you. If you are 17+, then your parent(s) don't have to go with you, you just have to have an ID.
