in Dallas TX? What is it like? How long do most foster children stay with you and if they don't go back to their families do they get adopted out of your home by another family or could you adopt them? Do you pick an age range or do they just put any child in your home? I read somewhere they pay you? Why would they be paying you? Well thank you and please respond.

we are foster parents in ga. our kids have stayed anywhere from 3 days to 15 months. if other family is not available , usually foster parents can have first dibs on adopting! you can pick your age range and always have the option of turning down or accepting each call you get! we receive a per diem per child which basically covers their food ...maybe some essentials and also a clothing allowance . it has been very rewarding ...difficult at times...but worth it!!
