Just out of curiousity...?
Like, if they can take care of it, but they just don't want it. Can they do that, or are there rules? Can a parent still put a child up for adoption even if they are able to provide for the kid?
Yes, they can. Forcing a parent to care for a child they didn't want to would only set things up for abuse and neglect. It certainly isn't illegal however the ethics and morals of it would be questionable to many but thats not an offense. Can a parent still put a child up for adoption even if they are able to provide for the kid?
The same rules apply as any other adoption.
Being able to provide means more than financial so if there are other reasons (including so called ';selfish'; ones) then it is the most responsible thing to do.
As Randy B. said...if someone doesn't want to be a parent...it does the child a great disservice (paraphrasing here Randy B...:))
On the other side there are those who would love to accept a child into their home and parent them but can't do so.
Yes you can still put the child up for adoption. There are many reasons why people decide to this not just because they can't provide but if they feel they can't be a good parent or if they think later they wont be able to provide for the child and so on.But I would not consider giving up your baby you will regret it and think about it all the time.
there can be other reasons besides financial, i feel if any parent is cruel enough to not want there child then the child deserves a chance at a better life.
raising a child is a giant change from just being a boyfriend and a girlfriend, or even a husband and wife, some people really suck at raising children.
i have seen terrible parents try so hard to do what ever they think is the right thing, and i have seen parents who never gave a damn and there children turned out great, of course most of us are not those extremes
Yes, any child can be put up for adoption, no matter the circimstances.
It doesn't matter if they can or cannot take care of it. Adoption isn't just for the lower class.
yes but why would someone want to do that?? its just selfish
Yes they can. Any child can be placed.
yes they can do that.
yes, they can do that
