How is riding related to being a parent?

I'd like to tie a relationship between riding a motorcycle with being a parent... or not. My wife and I don't have kids, might not ever, and I ride motorcycles. I don't think there is a direct relation there but maybe there is a trend.

I find that statement ';that riding a motorcycle is for irresponsable people'; so amusing. I'm many things, but being irresponsible is not one of them and I ride motorcycles.





Anyway to answer your question comtemplatin, I know and have met many people that ride and mix their love for riding with family life. They ride either trikes or bikes with sidecars so the kids can go with them on rides and the kids love it !!!





I don't have any children (can't have any of my own) but if I ever find the right one .. lol I figure we could adopt a child. But for now my 98 883 Sporty is my baby and love every minute of it, I feel so free when I ride.





Don't ever let anyone tell you or your wife that riding motorcycles and having children don't mix ... they do very well, I've seen it first hand.

The only thing that comes to my mind with this question is that i have always related (not that i'm corect) that riding a motorcycle is for irresponsable people.


I'm not judging or anything, my brother in law rides a motorcycle, and i know he is not like that.


But maybe that kind of hobby makes you spend time and money that you will need when you have a baby.


Hey, if you want a baby, keep trying, i can tell that he won't be able to share that hobby with you till he's about 10 years old, and in the mean time, give that baby the time he needs! it's worth it!
I am a mom and I ride I love to ride, that does not make me a bad mom , or even a bad dad and his dad also ride but all the time due he left my son, but as for my self and my family that all ride my child is first, My son is 11 and has two bikes on little pocket bike and a 50 and he likes to ride also. haw does riding make you a bad parent????? you can get hurt in a car or walking just as well if that is what you are thinking. get with the time MORE girls are riding now more than EVER%26gt; TRY IT YOU MAY LIKT IT AND NOT ON THE BACK ON YOUR OWN!!!!!
In a few words, ride like your out fishing with your kid or out hunting with them, yes i have kids but i have just got back into riding again and missed it due to other commitments (NOT KIDS) and now that i do have one we all gonna take turns either on the back roads with the breeze or on the lake with our poles, so it is the individual who wants it the most and all kids want to ride
