P.S. If your suggested work place is around sweet food or animals and maybe deal customers, I'll try to adapt with it.Whats the best part-time job for a shy, easily bored teen who wants to help single parent mother?
Have you tried maybe looking to see if your local animal shelters are hiring. Those jobs are usually very easy because all you have to do is feed or play with the animals. Or maybe look for a job in a grocery store as a stocker since they typically don't have to deal with customers.

Babysit or Nanny
Check out care.com or sittercity.com
I've been baysitting and nannying for over 8 years and only found those sites recently. I've actually found 3 different nanny jobs successfully off of those sites.
If you are bored easily I can say from experience that you should watch a toddler...they have an incredible amount of energy and it's easy to make them smile, and they will make you smile too. Plus they aren't like older kids who won't make an effort with you if you are shy. You can't really go wrong with a 2 or 3 year old (except, perhaps where temper tantrums are concerned).
Good luck!
A Book Store: You don't have to be outgoing and a lot of the time you just stack books and file titles.
A Video Store/Video Rental: Same reasons as above
Grocery Store Clerk/Bagger: less customer contact, filling shelves, etc. Possibly discount on food?
