How oldshould a child be before it is safe for them to ride a mini-bike with a parent helping them?

By mini-bike I mean a motorcycle. How oldshould a child be before it is safe for them to ride a mini-bike with a parent helping them?
It varies with the child. There are 8-year-olds out riding dirt bikes, and 5-year-olds racing go-karts.How oldshould a child be before it is safe for them to ride a mini-bike with a parent helping them?
All depends on the child, as long as they get the concept and have the ability to maneuver and control it then they should be fine, I would put a limiter on the throttle body before hand so they don't go balls out and wreck, then after they get use to everything id increase the throttle bit by bit. until they are and myself are comfortable with them operating it.
40 !

seriously do not attempt to influence the kid before they are at least teenagers.... reasonably coordinated in hand to eye and strong enough to hold their own....

Never under estimate the down side of even mild ';spills'; ... in a child's future development let alone - head %26amp; spinal injuries etc even with appropriate gear...

try soapbox go-carts ?

The cost is far beyond the price... your child will thank you one day.
i have seen them at 5 yrs old
