Does a parent have to take me to my NYS road test?

I am 16 years old and have had my permit in NYS since December. My road test is schedualed for the 29th and I do not want either of my parents to take me, as I literally detest them both and additionally, they would both make me nervous as the place is an hour away...

I cant find the law but this is fact as long as there are no other papers that need to be signed by your parents then you can bring any accompanying driver who is at least 21 years old and holds a license valid for operating the vehicle you will drive during the road test.
