Parents-How do you feel when you see a parent smoking with their windows up and kids in the car? ?

I do not smoke, I used to years ago. I cannot stand seeing a car pull up beside me, kids in the back, sometimes tiny infants, windows up, and one or both parents smoking away. Are they really that stupid to think that their nasty habit isnt affecting their innocent child? I cannot help but to get angry with people like this. I know there isnt anything I can do, other than to get ticked off and vent. Just thought I would see how other parents feel about this subject. I know exactly what you mean and I DO smoke.I DO NOT smoke in the car or in the house with my children and when I do go outside they do not go out with me.I see it as my choice not theirs so I do not want it to affect their health.Parents-How do you feel when you see a parent smoking with their windows up and kids in the car? ?
I'm a mother-to-be and yes this makes me very angry, outraged even. I remember seeing a guy smoking marijuana in his car with an infant in a car seat in the back and I was really pissed off. I guess he thought it was okay because he had his door open, but it is not okay. I regret not saying something but I hope he gets his just desserts for what he's doing to that innocent, helpless baby.
I don't like the fact that ppl smoke around kids. Including ppl in my family and also my husband. We have things in our home like purifiers that help with the smoke. Most of the time when he is smoking I take our son in another room totally away from him. Even some of my husbands family members like MIL and My BIL smoke around Jeffrey and their own son and it makes me irate. I don't want to piss anyone off or whatever but it is my sons health and HE comes first before anyone. So i try and take him away from where they are smoking etc so he isn't around it. I think I might have to keep him home and away from it all. If they want to see him don't smoke around him..
For decades kids lived through this, including myself, and we all lived healthy lives. Then some non smoking lab rat in Wa. says it was bad, then paranoia struck hard. If kids lived through it then, they'll live through it now.


As for it being a law. Good luck on it being enforced. The police have real criminals to catch. ';Hmmm do I answer these calls about drugs dealers and armed robbers, or pull this woman over for smoking in her car?';

It is now illegal here.. the law just past and some people were MAD about it...saying it was their right to smoke in their own car. Well those people obviously care more about themselves than their kids health. I still see it tho...and when I do the first thought that comes to mind is that poor kid.. that have some uneducated trash for parents. If they think smoking in a car with kids is ok I can only dread what other stupid things they do with their kids.
I think its absolutely ridiculous! I feel so bad for the kids. There is no reason for it. If they have to smoke they should pull over and smoke outside the car. In CA its illegal and if the police see you doing it you can get a ticket for every child that is in the car!
I don't smoke either, and as an adult I wouldn't smoke around children. I feel bad for the kids, it sucks having to breath that smoke in. Personally the one thing that really ticks me off is when I see little kids not buckled in a car seat. That just makes me so mad.
I didn't think anyone smoked with windows up in cars anymore. At least I don't see it anymore. Usually, it's such a confined space that it gets too smokey in there...even for smokers. Yes, smokers can find situations too smokey as well.
I'm a smoker and i'd even be pissed if i saw tht!! c'mon... your suffocating your kids... i do everything and anything possible to keep my son away from me smoking...
It drives me crazy. Just because they are being stupid about it, HELLLOOOO, second hand smoke. That iterates me and so does when I see parents with their child on their lap driving down the street.
I always wonder how people could do that. I'm an ex smoker. I stopped before my child was born, it makes me angry that a defenseless child has to be subjected to taht
It makes me very angry!! I just think that those poor kids are helpless and don't have any choice but to breathe in polluted, harmful air.
Thats illegal(bylaw) here so we dont see it all that much anymore...you can get a pretty bad ticket...and ya its not appropriate people can pull over to the side of the road or wait till their outside....
I get angry also.


There's no excuse for that. Even with the windows down, smoke still goes into the backseat.



It's really a matter of minding your own business.
It's Against the Law here where we live to Smoke with Kids in the car..Thank Goodness.

Why should they force their nasty habits onto their children?
i want to grab them by their throat and choke them.
