What is the best compliment you have received from another Mom on the way you parent?

A lady at the park today told me she liked how I was calm but firm with my daughter when I was disciplining her.

How about you?

Lets be positive on Y!A pregnancy/parenting section for a moment..........I know we can relate and get along on some things. RIGHT?What is the best compliment you have received from another Mom on the way you parent?
We went out to lunch today and the couple next to us were just chatting away with Noah. Noah, of course, eats all the attention up. The male said ';He's just as happy as a clam';.

My parents also always compliment me on how good of a mommy I am. Even though they're my parents it still means a lot, especially since they did such a good job in raising my brother and myself. What is the best compliment you have received from another Mom on the way you parent?
I guess when all my co-workers commented on how well behave my daughter was when id have to bring her to work with me, I would have no one to watch her so id bring her and she would stay in our break room for a little watching a movie then if it was dead in the store she would come behind the cash with me and color or even use the swiffer and clean, lol I never made her clean she loved doing it, she was quiet and always behaved. there would be other customers kids in the store and they would be playing in the racks while my daughter was staying by my side or reading. it was the only way I didn't get fired for bringing my kid, they had really nothing to complain about, lol

I worked in a maternity store, so not a big store at all
Asking this questions proves that you are a GOOD and caring mother.

The best compliment ever can only be: ';your baby/child looks happy.'; To a small child or baby, nothing else matters. But if someone else commented that she liked your calm but firm manner - AND you were sensible enough to discipline your daughter when it was needed - then there is nothing better that you can do. Little children need love and guidance; that's all. And if you're giving your little girl those things, then you're being the best mum in the world to her. Good luck to you both. x
My 17 month old son will sit with us for 2 hours in a restraunt and not make a sound. My 17 month old is very well behaved. My 17 month old son listens very well.

And those are the compliments that we hear. Or that he is the perfect baby. Or just how happy and content he is. Or that he is absolulty great.
my foster mother, who essentially rescued me at my worst and seen me grow and change so much in three years, told me i think alot like her and she likes that. she also called me a great mom. i thought that meant alot to me considering when i met her i knew next to nothing about real life.

my brother also told me our deceased mother would be very proud of me and love my son so much. it brought tears to my eyes actually to hear that.
On exiting a restaurant after my 5 young children and I had had dinner the waitress met me at the door to tell me how well behaved the children were. She said she had actually cringed when she saw us come in. My kids always were good when we went places and it was really nice that someone appreciated it.
Aww that's very kind.

A lady a few weeks ago told me my son was the happiest little guy she'd ever seen, and that we must be very interactive, loving parents for him to be so content and social. We were at a restaurant and he was making eyes at her from across the room, LOL he's such a flirt! :)
One lady said, I wish i could get my child to help fold the laundry like your child.

She also puts aways laundry when we're done as part of her chores.
One woman told me that my voice I use with my infant son was soothing... lol weird but I WAS singing to him in the park to make him stop crying
A mom admired how much control I had on my arm as I swung the whip. Tough but fair.
